Are COVID Weddings Here To Stay?

The global pandemic has changed the wedding landscape in a big way. Just a few short years ago, the idea of a Zoom wedding or eloping to Vegas would have been unthinkable. But now, anything goes! So, are COVID weddings here to stay? Only time will tell. For now, it seems that many couples are happy to embrace the new normal and tie the knot in whatever way works best for them.
Of course, there are some downsides to getting married during a pandemic.

For example, you might not be able to have the wedding of your dreams if you’re limited by restrictions. And, of course, there’s always the risk that things could change at the last minute if there’s a spike in cases.
But, all in all, getting married during a pandemic can be a fun and unique experience.

So, if you’re thinking of tying the knot in the near future, don’t let the pandemic stop you!
After COVID restrictions were lifted for weddings, couples still felt that certain wedding customs would remain permanent.

Changes To The Wedding Budget

Couples are now more aware of what they’re spending on their wedding day and are looking for ways to save.

Many couples are opting for smaller, more intimate weddings to save on costs.

This means that the average wedding budget has decreased significantly since the pandemic started.
Of course, this is not the case for everyone. Some couples are actually spending more on their weddings now than they ever have before. This is because they see the value in having a once-in-a-lifetime experience that they’ll remember forever.
So, whether you’re looking to save or splurge, there’s no right or wrong when it comes to your wedding budget. Just do what feels right for you and your partner!

Wedding Vendors Are Embracing The New Normal

Wedding vendors have had to get creative in order to stay afloat during the pandemic.
Many vendors have switched to offering virtual services, such as virtual wedding planning and online shopping.
No matter what, wedding vendors are staying adaptable in order to meet the needs of their couples. So, if you’re looking for a specific service, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask if they offer it.

Projected Annual Weddings Growth

According to Easy Weddings, in 2021 there are a number of factors that affected a lot the wedding business. However, in 2022, after vaccination completion, there is a new wedding enthusiasm for this year.

Many couples who eloped or had micro-weddings during the pandemic will have their wedding receptions in 2022. The trend continues in 2023 before slowly decreasing in 2024.

Would Couples Consider a Weekday Wedding in 2022?

With the majority of weddings happening on weekends, some venues and vendors offer weekday discounts to couples. In 2022, more couples are considering a weekday wedding to take advantage of these savings.
However, there are some drawbacks to having a weekday wedding. For example, most of your guests will likely have to take time off work in order to attend.

On the other hand, because so many weddings have been rescheduled, some venues are now offering discounts if you are willing to shift your date to during the week.

So, if you’re considering a weekday wedding, make sure to weigh the pros and cons before making your final decision.
“More than half of couples said they’d consider postponing their wedding to a weekday. Phew! That helps wedding vendors a lot. – Easy Wedding Report”

Wedding Buying Cycle

Planning a wedding is similar to learning how to cook, in that there are certain rules that must be followed.

You must first know what ingredients you will need, where to find them, and how to put them all together.

The same goes for planning a wedding; you must figure out what you need, where to find the vendors, and how to budget for it all.

This can be a daunting task, especially if you have never planned an event.

Couples should generally plan their wedding ceremony (and caterer if necessary), a wedding planner (if desired) and a marriage officiant ahead of the other suppliers.

Once you’ve decided on a photographer (and videographer), it’s time to go dress shopping for the wedding. Now it is time to think about how your wedding will look and feel… This includes the music, the cars, the flowers, and the wedding hire (like a marquee, if needed).

Planning your honeymoon can be a lot of work.

Make sure you leave plenty of time to do it!

While you are looking for a place to stay, book a room for your wedding night.

You can also reserve hotel rooms for any guests who might need them.

Now that all the big decisions have been made, it’s time to start thinking about the smaller details. These include a cake, decorations, and a photo booth.

Choose your wedding party look – bridesmaid dresses, hair and makeup, and formal wear.

Your wedding vision is now complete, and your invites designer will know exactly what to make based on your brief description.

You may now focus on the remainder as rings, shoes, bomboniere, lingerie, wedding services, accessories, hens and bucks party and any beauty services.
